FIELD: inner devices for centering short tubes for assembling and welding them, mainly for diffusion vacuum welding of tubes with use of electron-beam heating of welded surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: centering device includes rod along the whole length of which tread is cut. Said rod has supporting disc in its one end; in other end of rod there is disc that may move by means of nut. Compression spring is placed between movable disc and nut. Locking sleeve is turned on rod between supporting and movable discs. Centering device provides compression of welded rings with effort providing strictly limited plastic deformation of special protrusion of one part.
EFFECT: possibility for keeping accurate lengthwise size of welded parts due to absence of high temperature creeping of one of parts.
