FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely diffusion butt welding of parts of different metals.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making openings in central part of annular blanks and placing blanks one onto another; then placing them into chamber at gaps no more than 1 mm; evacuating chamber; arranging chamber with blanks in fluid-tight space and omnidirectionally compressing chamber by means of neutral gas heated until welding temperature; removing central part from welded annular blanks and making samples of said removed part for testing all welded joints.
EFFECT: diffusion butt welding of blanks of different type metals at providing accuracy of their axial sizes, possibility for testing all welded joints of ready articles.
