FIELD: lighter-than-air flying vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: proposed airship has case formed by flexible gas-containing envelope 5, payload 15, drive 6 mounted in tail section of case and rope suspensions 26 and 27 for carrying payload 15 which is connected with drive and case in nose section. Gas-containing envelope is partially filled with lighter-than-air gaseous medium for raising the nose section in vertical starting guard 10 for placing gas-containing envelope 5 in starting position for subsequent freeing of envelope 5 from starting position through open top of vertical guard. Envelope raises above vertical guard and rises payload 15 and drive 6. Airship is provided with inflatable unit and starting station 2.
