FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for modified petroleum resin production by copolymerization of unsaturated compounds of straight-run gasoline liquid pyrolysis products fraction with a boiling range of 130-190°C, and cyclopentadiene. Cyclopentadiene used in an amount of 5-10% by weight of the fraction. Polymerization is performed under the influence of 2% titanium tetrachloride at a temperature of 20°C for 60-120 min. Cyclopentadiene and titanium tetrachloride are introduced into the reactor by doses, during 50-60 minutes. Catalyst is then deactivated with propylene oxide.
EFFECT: increased yield of light petroleum resins by operating under mild conditions.
