FIELD: manufacture of conical envelopes of shaped-charge projectiles by the method of plastic metal working.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in mechanical working and annealing of the blank. The blank is made of copper, mechanical working includes upsetting and cubic strain. Blank upsetting is performed on a press with local application of force with a degree of strain force of 91 to 95% within a temperature range from 20 to 450C, after that the blank is quenched in liquid during 10s at a temperature of 0 to 30C. Then, the blank is annealed at a temperature of 400 to 500 (during 45 to 60 min and then a conical envelope is strained by rotational extrusion and annealed within a temperature range of 300 to 410C during 30 to 45 min with provision of the size of the grain in the structure of recrystallized metal of not more than number 7 according to scale III St.Stnd (GOST) 21073.1-75.
EFFECT: reduced cost of the manufactured part and enhanced quality of the product due to an enhanced armor-piercing ability.
