Abstract RU 2311606 C2

FIELD: metal pressure working, applicable in production of cases of shaped high-explosive projectiles.

SUBSTANCE: a blank of copper is upset with a deformation ratio of 91 to 95 percent on a press at a temperature of 20 to 450 C with production of a hollow tapered semifinished item. The obtained semifinished item is cooled during 10 s in fluid at a temperature not exceeding 30 C. The semifinished item is annealed at a temperature of 400 to 500 C during 45 to 60 min and deformed by rotary exclusion with production of a tapered case. The case is annealed at a temperature of 300 to 410 C during 30 to 45 min. Prior to upsetting, the semifinished item is worked in diameter and end surfaces with production of end surfaces having the shape of the respective surfaces of the semifinished item. After upsetting the semifinished item is worked in the external outline, annealed and subjected to chemical pasivating treatment.

EFFECT: enhanced armor-piercing ability of the projectile.
