FIELD: computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to scanner assemblies and transceiving equipment for transmission and reception of various types of information used in network portable computers. Scanner assembly includes flat base carrying at least two fan-shaped, oriented, directional flat antennas and commutator controlling radiation pattern of scanner assembly. Commutator is intended for connection of one, two or more antennas at same time. Transceiver incorporates scanner assembly, reception-transmission switch, transmitter, receiver, unit controlling operation of scanner assembly under omnidirectional mode, directional scanning mode or under stationary directional mode and controller. Transceiver can be supplemented with unit evaluating signal quality and unit identifying signal. Network portable computer incorporates transceiving unit, scanner assembly hinged on case of computer.
