FIELD: antenna assemblies and transceiving pieces of equipment for local wireless communication networks.
SUBSTANCE: antenna assembly designed for use in transceiving equipment of local wireless communication networks to transmit and receive all kinds of information is built around printed-circuit boards and has planar directive antennas, each being made in the form of insulating plate carrying radiating element of antenna. Plate surface facing the radiating element is metallized and functions as antenna reflector. Plates are joined through their edges so that they form side faces of antenna-assembly hollow enclosure. Butt-end face is made in the form of insulating plate having metallized outer surface that can also carry radiating element of antenna. Inner surface of enclosure butt-end face mounts antenna switch connected to switch control unit and to radiating element. The latter is secured with aid of pins made of radiating element body by punching it followed by bending out.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost, enlarged functional capabilities, enhanced gain, fully automated manufacture and assembly.
