FIELD: medicine, vascular neurosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with evaluating radicalness in removing or embolization of arteriovenous malformations (AVM). Patient undergoes both pre- and postoperational dopplerographic inspection of internal jugular and vertebral veins. Values of postoperational average linear rate of circulation being above 30 cm/sec in, at least, one internal jugular vein and/or above 15 cm/sec in, at least, one vertebral vein indicate incomplete exclusion of AVM out of circulation.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of evaluation.
