SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of bending odd teeth to one side and event teeth to other side by the same value in direction normal relative to plane of saw web toward cutting edges of teeth; bending teeth along their symmetry axis and forming bending lines extending outside line of teeth recesses. Apparatus includes drive unit for rotating setting tools and housing with groove for saw web. Tools for setting teeth are mounted on the same axis in parallel shafts arranged housing. Axes of shafts are parallel relative to lengthwise direction of groove for placing saw web. Lateral surface of disc tool on one shaft is in the form of cone and on other shaft it is in the form of cone recess.

EFFECT: possibility for increasing time period for keeping value of teeth setting at using saw.
