GROUP DRIVE OF DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE TWO-AXLE BOGIE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; bogie group drives.

SUBSTANCE: proposed group drive of two-axle bogie contains electric motor I in middle zone of bogie and distributing gear wheels 7. Each gear wheel is connected by driving cardan clutch 9, cross shaft 10 and driven cardan clutch 12 with independent axial gear train of each wheelset. Two hollow trunnions 4 are secured on frame of electric motor, and driving gear 14 is fitted on shaft 13 of electric motor. Distributing gear wheels are installed on hollow trunnions for meshing with driving gear of electric motor. Driving cardan clutches are located inside hollow trunnions and are connected with distributing gear wheels by flanges.

EFFECT: simplified design, reduced overall dimensions of group drive of diesel locomotive two-axle bogie.
