FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves producing said steel with the use of displaced rack microstructure, where displaced racks of martensite are substantially free from doubled alternation with thin films of retained austenite in the absence of self-tempering carbides, nitrides and carbonitrides in displaced racks of martensite as well as in retained austenite films. Such microstructure is produced by selecting alloy composition with initial martensite temperature of 3500C and higher, or by selecting cooling mode from austenite phase through martensite transition region, which is characterized in that penetration into self-tempering regions is excluded. Products obtained by method are described.
EFFECT: increased strength, ductility and corrosion resistance.
