SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing steel for rail runway. Invention claims steel comprising components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.3-0.5; silicon, 0.8-1.5; manganese, 1.3-1.7; chrome, 0.6-1.5; vanadium, 0.08-0.15; aluminum, 0.05-0.015; nitrogen, 0.010-0.020; calcium, 0.001-0.020; molybdenum, 0.05-0.4; nickel, 0.001-0.30; iron, the balance. Invention provides enhancing complex of mechanical properties and hardness of steel for elevating exploitation stability of runways.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of rail steel and runways.
