REGULATING DISC VALVE WITH RELIEF DEVICE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: regulating pipeline fittings, namely closing and regulating flow of liquid or gas medium in different technological lines.

SUBSTANCE: regulating disc valve includes stationary seat mounted in housing and having flow-through profiled peripheral windows and central duct. Seat engages with spool. The last has cutouts and through central lengthwise opening. Spindle passes through cover secured to housing. Piston is arranged in cylinder and it forms together with cylinder relief chamber communicated with draining cavity. Sector grooves on sealing surface of spool form together with seat surface intermediate chamber. Said chamber is communicated with relief chamber and with central duct of seat. Valve is provided with elastic member arranged in relief chamber with possibility of engaging with spool and with piston. Piston is non-detachably joined with spindle and it engages with spool through eccentric protrusion and reciprocal to it hole of spool. Spool is rigidly joined with cylinder.

EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability, increased flow-through capability of valve, lowered degree of erosion of discharging duct.
