FIELD: machine engineering, namely detachable flange joints of pipelines, vessels, apparatuses, pipeline fittings, in gas-oil production, chemical, power generation and other industry branches.

SUBSTANCE: flange joint includes fastening members, seal in the form of annular gasket. Width of inner annular groove of gasket is equal to or more than width of collar of outer surface of annular gasket limited by contact zones of joined parts. Said collar is subjected to action of unbalanced inner pressure of fluid. Elastic gasket placed into internal groove has outer surface symmetrical to outer surface of annular gasket relative to its lengthwise axis in cross section.
