FIELD: oil and gas geophysics, in particular, oil and gas field development control.
SUBSTANCE: method involves simultaneously measuring section of capture or life time of thermal neutrons, oxygen activation parameter and natural radioactivity of rocks, with measuring of thermal neutron capture section and registration of gamma-quanta resulted from oxygen nuclei decay being performed on the basis of indications sequentially delivered by each detector during time interval between two neutron emission pulses; determining water saturation coefficient of collectors on the basis of data produced, with following determining of gas saturation coefficient and oil saturation coefficient of collectors. Apparatus has device adapted for employment in well and equipped with controlled pulsed source of fast neutrons, gamma-quanta detectors with pulse generators, passage circuits, univibrators, and counters. Ground part has digital register with program-controlled power source.
EFFECT: provision for unambiguous determination of current values for collectors oil and gas saturation.
