FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed compression-type strain clamp designed for fixing steel-aluminum conductors and steel cables to corner dead-end pole of power transmission line has steel anchor made in the from of rod with hole to receive steel core of conductor, lug for fixing clamp to pole, and aluminum casing with shank for compressing anchor with conductor steel core, aluminum part of conductor, and conductor running to stub. Steel anchor and aluminum casing have their section similar in shape to that of conductor being erected. Cross-sectional area of aluminum casing Fc is larger than that of aluminum part of conductor Fa.p. so that Fc : Fa.p. ratio is between 1.5 and 5.0. Length Lcomp of aluminum casing part being compressed is chosen from expression Lcomp : Dc = 4.5 - 7.3, where Dc is diameter of conductor being erected.
EFFECT: reduced metal input for aluminum casings which reduces cost of clamp.
