FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminarily calibrating at least one ultrasonic transducer in a way that bone parameters are measured under each ultrasonic transducer and focused directional radiation diagram is built in given space area to be irradiated. The measured bone parameters are used. Complex probing signal is issued into the given space area and focused radiation diagram of reception pattern is built with focusing area coinciding with directional radiation diagram. Reflected signals are received from the area exposed to radiation and cross-correlation treatment of the received reflected signals is carried out. Image of a point of an object under study is built for given space area. Synchronous scanning is carried out with focused directional radiation and reception diagrams with at least one ultrasonic transducer in scanning angle belonging to distance range depending on scanning area with complete image of object under study being built.
EFFECT: high quality of images built on data received through cranial bone walls.
