SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine. A method for obtaining ultrasound images of the brain consists in applying an ultrasonic phased array to one of the transparency windows on the patient's head. When focusing in the synthetic aperture mode, additional delays of the signals forming the beam are introduced, which are calculated based on the initial data using a special diagnostic scan mode and the proposed correction scheme based on the Fourier transform.
