FIELD: production of sportive equipment, in particular, manufacture of outer covering for balls used in sportive games.
SUBSTANCE: outer covering is composed of twelve similar panels manufactured from natural or artificial leather or other materials. Individual panel is made in the form of central equilateral pentagon with rhombic petals adjoining each side of pentagon. Acute angle of rhombic petal is within the range of 60-64 deg, angle between sides of adjacent rhombic petals is 72 deg. For making ball outer covering, individual panels are sewn with one another along perimeter of rhombic petal in such a manner that half part of rhombic petal of one panel is placed into gap defined by two petals of adjacent panel. Each panel of outer covering is surrounded with five adjacent panels.
EFFECT: simplified manufacture process and sewing of individual panels and improved quality of ball.
