SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of basing blank; matching hidden basing points of blank and apparatus for positioning and fastening blank which has as hidden basing point crossing point of symmetry axis of cylindrical surface and symmetry plane of two mutually parallel plain surfaces; performing basing at first according to main base by means of mechanism for positioning according to main base and then - according to additional base by means of mechanism for positioning according to additional base and simultaneously rotating the last until matching hidden basing points of blank and apparatus by means of mechanism for compensating error of arrangement of main and additional bases; securing blank according to main and additional bases while fixing position of compensating mechanism relative to housing of apparatus. Apparatus for performing the method includes housing, mechanism for positioning according to main base, mechanism for positioning according to additional base and mechanism for compensating error relative to housing. Mechanism for positioning according to additional base is arranged on compensating mechanism with possibility of motion.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of arranging worked surfaces, improved efficiency of working.
