FIELD: heat-exchange apparatuses, mainly water heaters; heat supply systems.

SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger has shell accommodating heat-transfer tubes, longitudinal and transverse partitions, tube sheets, tube space formed by the latter and shell, shell-mounted compensator, chamber used for feeding medium to tubes and discharging it therefrom provided with internal partition, as well as medium turning chamber, both chambers abutting against hinged tube sheets that form tube space together with tubes, and medium supply and discharge pipes communicating with tube space and medium supply chamber. Heat exchanger is made for organizing medium flow over tubes and tube space in two or four passes and for sectionalizing them. Longitudinal partition of shell is flat or cross-like in shape Transverse partitions and longitudinal one are provided with seals.

EFFECT: facilitated manufacture, enlarged functional capabilities, reduced size and metal input, enhanced operating effectiveness.
