FIELD: data transmission.
SUBSTANCE: data exchange system capable of variable-speed data transmission uses high-speed burst data transfer method; data transfer over direct line is time-multiplexed and base station transfers data at highest possible speed supported by direct line during each time interval of one mobile station. Data transfer speed is evaluated by maximal measured C/I signal ratio of direct line as measured in mobile station. If data burst is found to be received with errors, mobile station returns NACK message to base station. NACK message causes retransmission of error-containing data burst. Data bursts can be received out of repetition sequence by using serial number to identify each data item in data bursts.
EFFECT: improved utilization of direct line and reduced data transfer delay time.
