SUBSTANCE: mass exchange column has plates made of a horizontal sheet provided with openings, caps with perforated covers and openings in their side, plates mounted on the sheet, and overflow pipe inserted in the plate sheet. A protective pipe is mounted coaxially to the overflow pipe. The protective pipe has openings in the top part or is mounted with a spaced relation to the sheet of the plate located above it. The protective pipe has openings in the bottom part or is mounted with a spaced relation to the plate sheet. The overflow pipe has openings in the top part.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
