FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, articles made of maraging steel on mandrels are subjected to thermal treatment consisting of cycle of hardening and deformation aging. Articles are installed with clearance on post consisting of n mandrels made of austenitic steel. Articles are shielded from external heat flow of heater by means of steel tube-screen installed concentrically relative to mandrels. Heating of articles on mandrels to hardening and aging temperature, holding and subsequent cooling of articles are carried out together with tube-screen in heating chamber in non-oxidizing medium. Invention makes it possible to predict behavior of articles at thermal treatment and get stable geometric dimensions of articles at provision of preset level of mechanical properties.
EFFECT: provision of high-strength thin-walled steel articles of precise geometric dimensions.
