FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method involves providing thermal processing - strain ageing of hardened products from martensite ageing steel on hollow mandrels with heater therein; setting products in spaced relation onto column composed of n mandrels made from austenitic steel; heating mandrels with products thereon in heating chamber in non-oxidizing medium and controlling temperature variations inside said chamber by means of thermoelectric couples. Heating chamber has hood, bottom and electric heater mounted in heating chamber bottom in axially aligned relation with respect to hood. Heating chamber is equipped with hollow pipe and column composed of n hollow mandrels made from austenitic steel. Electric heater is located inside hollow pipe. Column is fixed on pipe in axially aligned relation with respect to hood. Input for thermoelectric couples is formed in hood.

EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing product behavior forecast and reliable information for carrying out thermal processing, provision for obtaining of stable geometric sizes and predetermined mechanical properties of products.
