FIELD: electrical engineering, concerns the construction of bistable electromagnetic drives for high-voltage switches.

SUBSTANCE: the electromagnetic drive has a magnetic system with a running air gap including a fixed main magnetic core, at least one permanent magnet, movable core made of two parts connected by a pin, with a fixed additional magnetic core adjoining the permanent magnet installed between them, as well as means for displacement of the core between the first and second final fixed positions. Each part of the movable core is divided at least into two sections symmetrical relative to the axis of the mentioned pin and installed on the pin for radial movement.

EFFECT: enhanced pull of the electromagnetic drive due to reduced loss and dispersal of magnetic fields in the parasitic clearance in the closed magnetic circuit in one of the final fixed positions of the core.
