FIELD: communications engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed mobile station is used for measuring burst data transfer speed in mobile communication system incorporating base station and mobile station; the latter is designed to render voice transmission service and burst data transfer service from base station. Mobile station receiver functions to receive information about allocation of orthogonal code pointing to number of orthogonal codes allocated for burst data transfer service; its meter serves to measure carrier-to-interference ratio using check channel received, and controller evaluates data transfer speed corresponding to measured value of carrier-to-interference ratio, controls definite data transfer speed basing on number of allocated orthogonal codes, and determines controllable data transfer speed.

EFFECT: ability of evaluating data transfer speed for burst data transfer service in mobile communication system.
