FIELD: materials dressing and other industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic treatment of mineral mixtures before magnetic separation to increase efficiency of dressing. Invention makes it possible to magnetically treat mineral mixtures directly on belt of moving conveyor to combine finely dispersed magnetic grains scattered among slimes into separate conglomerates, thus increasing degree of extraction during subsequent magnetic separation. Device is provided with magnetic system arranged under moving belt of conveyor and rotating around vertical axis. System consists of permanent magnets with alternating magnetic polarity over arc of circumference. Said magnetic system contains four groups of permanent magnets radially arranged at angle of 90o in form of rectangular prisms installed with clearance and featuring magnetic polarity alternating in radius and magnetic moments parallel to axis of rotation.
EFFECT: increased degree of extraction of materials at magnetic separation.
