FIELD: magnetic separation of finely-dispersed mineral mixtures and fine particles. SUBSTANCE: proposed magnetic separator has system of permanent magnets located on both sides of separating chamber and shifted relative to one another. Novelty of invention consists in fixed position of permanent magnets over arcs of circles revolving around vertical axis of rotor at varying rotational speed. Magnetic elements are directed by radii of rotor in forward and opposite directions; separating chambers are made in form of non-magnetic cylinders located over circle of rotor in parallel with axis of its rotation.
