SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method for preparing a mixture ketones/alcohols using decomposition of cycloalkyl hydroperoxide in the presence of catalyst comprising catalytically active metallic element immobilized on a solid carrier. Catalyst is prepared by fixation of metalloorganic compound of the general formula (III) or (IIIa) wherein M means metal ion or combination of metal ions corresponding to elements belonging to groups IB-VIIB or VIII of Mendeleyev's periodic system (by version CAS) including lanthanides; R means linear or branched hydrocarbon radical comprising from 1 to 12 carbon atoms; R₁ means halogen atom, hydroxyl, alkoxy-group, carboxyl, amino-group or aliphatic, arylaliphatic, aromatic, alkylaliphatic hydrocarbon radical that can comprise heteroatoms; n is a whole number from 0 to 4; m is a whole number from 1 to 6; p means a whole number from 0 to 4; q means a whole number from 1 to 4; X means anion. More specifically, the invention relates to preparing a mixture cyclohexanol/cyclohexanone by decomposition of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide in the presence of heterogenous catalyst. Method provides preparing a mixture alcohol/ketone comprising very small impurity of metal or no comprising its, and shows the prolonged duration of cycle and working life of catalyst.
