FIELD: testing technology; estimation of ultimate state of material by beginning of destruction.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in deformation of specimen and recording the moment of beginning of destruction at simultaneous recording of temperature on working section of specimen; then graph of maximum temperature versus degree of deformation is plotted. Moment of beginning of destruction is determined by drop of temperature at pre-destruction stage.
EFFECT: reduced labor consumption.
