FIELD: mechanical engineering and measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a device for detection of metal in stream of a lubricating stuff, that is dealt with the field of measuring technique and also engineering industry and may be used to diagnose the wear of the friction assemblies on the base of assessment of the particles share in the lubricants stuff. The device has a measurement unit of reels, a prime amplifier, a multiplier, a cascade to block a signal zero-frequency component, a low-pass filter, a final amplifier, a discriminator, a counter of ferromagnetic particles and a counter of non-ferromagnetic particles. The low-pass filter has a tunable bandwidth. The device also has a meter of duration of pulses of the unbalance originating at the particles passing through the measurement unit of the reels and a control of the bandwidth of the low-pass filter. The setting of the bandwidth of the low-pass filter allows to eliminate noise, frequencies of which lay outside of the filter bandwidth, that corresponds to the duration of the pulse of the information signal. So it allows to increase the signal/noise ratio and sensitivity of the device, that makes it possible to determine availability of a smaller size particles.
