METHOD FOR SAMPLING SPLIT CUTANEOUS AUTOTRANSPLANT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, reconstructive microsurgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should make incisions along the perimeter of autotransplant's shape of desired size. One should transfer incision plane into that of dissection of parallel skin surface by directing the sharp end of instrument towards taken skin section at desired depth till development of free edge of skin section taken. Then this edge should be folded with its internal surface outwards and replaced along skin surface by developing the tension between skin section taken and deep cutaneous layers. Then, gradually, one should make incisions at the layer under tension by regulating the thickness of taken split cutaneous autotransplant by incision level, and shift its free edge to obtain an autotransplant of desired size and shape. The method increases efficiency of surgical therapy due to decreased donor and esthetic detriment.
