FIELD: medicine, nervous diseases, neurology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in complex treatment of patients with acute and chronic pain syndromes. Method involves epidural administration of nonsteroid anti-inflammatory agents of the oxicam group in doses for parenteral application. In treatment of root pain in discogenic radiculopathy tenoxicam in the dose 20 mg or lornoxicam in the dose 8 mg dissolved in 10-20 ml of physiological solution are administrated by epidural route every day for 5 days. In treatment of chronic pain in syndrome of unsuccessful spine surgery operations tenoxicam in the dose 40 mg or lornoxicam in the dose 16 mg dissolved in 15-30 ml of physiological solution are administrated by epidural route every day for 5-8 days. Method provides enhancing the effectiveness of treatment, to attain significant regress of pain syndrome and stable remission due to effect on different nociogenous zones and elimination of some nociogenous structures.
EFFECT: improved method for treatment.
