METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF EXACERBATION OF RADICULOPATHY OF LUMBOSACRAL LOCALIZATION Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61N2/04

Abstract RU 2795076 C1

FIELD: medicine; physiotherapy; rehabilitation; neurology; traumatology orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: perform magnetic stimulation in the form of focal exposure of affected spine region to magnetic field gradient from a field magnet. The treatment is carried out to the affected spine using round inductor with maximum magnetic field gradient on the surface of 34 kT/s, with paravertebral position at a distance of 5 cm from the vertebrae spinous processes, with a gap between inductor and skin surface of 1 cm, biphasic signal, a sinusoidal form, frequency of 1 Hz. The treatment is divided into two stages with a total duration of 10 minutes. Determine motor response threshold before the first procedure. Stage 1:15 pulses in a burst, 20 bursts, pause 1 s, intensity is equal to motor response threshold level, from 20 to 45% of the maximum inductor power, exposure time is 5 min; stage 2:15 pulses in a burst, 20 bursts, pause 1 s, intensity is 15% higher than motor response threshold level, from 35 to 60% of the maximum inductor power, exposure time is 5 min; course includes 7 procedures, daily.

EFFECT: method allows to increase efficiency of treatment due to parameters of rhythmic peripheral magnetic stimulation and sequential use of two exposure modes during each procedure.
