FIELD: separating solids from solids.
SUBSTANCE: method includes supplying material with a constant velocity to the zone of irradiation and recording of a constant width, irradiation of material with penetrating radiation, recording current amplitude of the luminescence signal, comparing the current signal amplitude with a given limit amplitude, generating the signal for the mineral shut off at a moment when the current amplitude begins to exceed the limit one, and separating the luminescent mineral used the results of the comparison. The device has hopper, transporting mechanism, source of penetrating radiation, unit for recording current amplitude of the luminescence signal from the mineral whose output is connected with the first input of the block of comparison, second input is connected with the output of the limit amplitude signal controller, and output is connected with the block for generating commands, whose output is connected to a servomechanism. The block for generating commands has pulse generator whose output is in communication with the second input of the shift register, whose first input is the input of the block for generating commands. The block for generating commands is additionally provided with the second pulse generator whose output is connected with the second input of the counter whose first input is connected with the outlet of the shift register and whose output, which is the output of the block for generating commands, is in communication with the third input of the counter .
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separating.
