FIELD: ship building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and to a method for assembling a propeller assembly on ship housing. Propelling unit contains the top part of the propeller unit attached to the housing of the ship and the lower part of the propeller unit, where the propeller shaft is rotatable, and the upper part of the propeller unit has flanges for tight fitting of the flanges to the body, and there is an opening in the bottom of the housing, where a rowing machine must be installed. System contains a number of watertight covers that cover the holes in the bottom of the housing, and a lot of watertight covers on top of the propeller unit. System comprises a detachable side cover (32) of the housing that covers at least one opening (24) underneath, and at least one removable side cover (50) of propeller assembly, covering opening (46) beneath it and facing opening (24), and removable covers (32, 34, 50, 52) are bolted from the housing side.

EFFECT: efficiency of installing the propeller unit on the ship's housing is achieved.
