FIELD: electrical engineering; heavy-power switch-mode regulated-current supplies.
SUBSTANCE: proposed switch-mode current regulator has inverter whose output transformer incorporates two similar first and second secondary windings; center-tapped full-wave rectifier whose output is connected to LC storage filter loaded into resistor at output; first and second current transformers whose primary winding starting leads are integrated in common point and connected to minus pole of loading resistor and finishing leads are connected, respectively, to finishing lead of first secondary winding of inverter transformer and to starting lead of second one; control circuit of inverter switching transistors; first and second current transformers are provided with additional similar secondary windings interconnected with their main secondary winding to form series circuit; finishing lead of main secondary winding of first current transformer is connected to that of additional secondary winding of second current transformer whose starting lead is connected to that of additional secondary winding of first current transformer whose finishing lead is connected to that of additional secondary winding of second current transformer and its starting lead as well as starting lead of main secondary winding of first current transformer are connected to respective anodes of rectifier diodes whose cathodes are integrated in common point and connected to one of inputs of control circuit of inverter switching transistors, other input of this circuit being connected to common point of integrated starting leads of additional secondary windings of current transformers.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and simplified design of switch-mode current regulator.
