FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use when performing operations in cases of both retinal detachment and myopia. Explant represents a tissue with cellular structure made by knitting technique from polyester threads. Explant is rolled up into tube having dimensions determined by the width of tendon of upper straight eye muscle and by the height of impression bank. Explant is impregnated with 2.5% aqueous solution of doxicyclin at a rate of 100 mcg/cm2. Invention ensures formation of strong sclera-explant complex creating stable impression bank on the retina.
EFFECT: prevented inflammatory reaction in the course of scleroplastic operations.
