FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology and is intended for reconstructive scleroplasty in case of pathological states of sclera, induced by different diseases, traumas, as well as developed as a result of ablation of eye and orbit tumours. Claimed is scleroplant for reconstructive scleroplasty in case of pathological states of sclera, made from spatially cross-linked polymer by photopolymerisation of oligomers of methacryl series in form of flat or spherically curved according to the shape of eyeball mesh plate of rounded or lobe-like shape, from 0.1 to 0.5 mm wide and with general diameter from 15 to 30 mm, scleroplant contains cuts on periphery for improvement of deformation and holes for fixation.
EFFECT: claimed scleroplant makes it possible to restore normal configuration of external eye surface, protect eye membranes from bulging, and vitreous body from flowing out, ensures connection of synthetic transplant with patient's sclera with formation of strong complex "sclera-transplant" with absence of negative effects, connected with impairment of supply of sclera sections under implant.
