FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, increasing strength of machine and mechanism parts operating in cyclic mode, with time of relaxing of electronic structure on article surface excited by working pressure exceeding time of idle part of cycle.
SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing into parts surface by ionic implantation of cerium ions or successively nitrogen ions in conjunction with phosphor ions; applying onto part surface 0.1-0.2 mm thick layer of basic material of part. When pores and cracks are filled with resultant compounds of cerium or polyphosphonitride PxNy to depth, where their size corresponds to size of capillary, effective weight of electron substantially increases in accordance with high density of states on Fermi surface and interatomic bonding force is correspondingly increased.
EFFECT: increased strength of base-coating bonding to facilitate elimination of strains occurring in pores and cracks and prevent development of cracks.
