FIELD: defense industry; production of ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of military engineering and may be used at designing of charges and shells for a short-range weapon, mainly - in grenade launchers. A grenade launcher charge and shell contains a sleeve, a propellant charge with a primer - igniter and a shell composed of an explosive charge located in a plastic mantle without a clearance and an explosive device installed coaxially and without a clearance in the inside cavity of the explosive charge made in the form of several charging sections out of thermoplastic. On the front butt of the explosive device in the cavity of the explosive charge there is an amplifier of a detonating pulse, made out of a highly sensitive initiating compound. On the surface of the front charging section there is a deepening forming with the inside surface of the ogival part of a plastic mantle a cavity, which has been filled in with a rubber-like blend. At that ςcomp of thermoplast charging sections is ≥ 420 kg / cm2. The area of surfaces of charging sections, contacting among themselves and with members of the design is selected from a condition of the strength S ≥q
EFFECT: the invention allows to increase efficiency of action of the grenade launcher charge and shell.
