FIELD: military technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of military technology and can be used in the design of shots for melee weapons, mainly in grenade launchers. The projectile contains a shell with a warhead and an explosive charge. This charge consists of a head section, several sections located behind it and an explosive device. The head section of the explosive charge is made of an elastic rubber-like explosive in the form of a cylindrical base with a protrusion in the form of a truncated cone. Its top is conjugated with the lateral surface by an arc of a circle and is placed in the shell with the formation of a radial gap between its outer surface and the inner surface of the head of the shell. This gap expands away from the head of the projectile. The size of the gap is not less than the value of the lateral deformation of the elastic rubber-like explosive from the starting overload. The modulus of elasticity of this explosive in compression is 100-500 times less than the modulus of elasticity in compression of the explosive of the remaining sections of the explosive projectile.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the grenade launcher shot at the target by increasing the reliability and stability of the action of the multisection explosive charge.
