FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; multiphase squirrel-cage induction motors fed from semiconductor frequency changers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed m = 12-phase 2p=2-pole double-layer symmetrical loop winding placed in z = 54 slots has concentric-coil groups. Novelty is that this 12-phase winding has twelve uniformly displaced coil groups numbered from 1G through 12G with slot pitch of coils ym = 18, 16, 14, 12, 10 for odd-numbered five-coil groups and ym = 17, 15, 13, 11 for even-numbered four-coil groups, phase starts running from starting lead of each group. Internal coil of odd-numbered groups has (1 - x)wc turns and external coil of even-numbered ones, (1 + x)wc turns with wc turns in all remaining coil groups, where 2wc is turn number per slot at x = 0.51.
EFFECT: improved harmonic content of mmf and reduced differential dissipation factor.
