FIELD: vacuum cleaner construction components.

SUBSTANCE: telescopic suction pipe has outer pipe, inner pipe equipped with longitudinally extending retaining plate, at least one stop member provided with locking surfaces and positioned for movement toward longitudinal central axis of vacuum cleaner suction pipe and for periodic insertion into slots of retaining plate, said slots being provided with conjugated locking sites. Suction pipe is further provided with collar put onto outer pipe so as to embrace inner pipe. Incorporated in collar casing are stop member, spring providing for locking position, and locking member actuation device, which is made in the form of rotating body acting directly upon locking member. Locking position of rotary body is provided by spring arranged inside casing and resting upon site between rotary body and casing.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved safety by preventing suction pipe from spontaneous releasing.
