SUBSTANCE: electric vacuum cleaner 1 comprises a housing 2 of the vacuum cleaner and the base 10 for storage. The housing 2 of the vacuum cleaner comprises the main part 19 rotably supported by the main unit 17; the unit 26 of detaching/collecting dust, the connecting pipe 35 to remove the dust, coupled with the unit 26 of detaching/collecting dust, the inlet connecting pipe 36 coupled with the electric fan 27; and the switching valve 39 which closes the connection between the unit 26 of detaching/collecting dust and the electric fan 27 at the open inlet connecting pipe 36. The base 10 for storage comprises the support unit 13 and the dust suction tube 48 and the discharge pipe 49 coupled with the unit 47 for collecting dust. When the housing 2 of the vacuum cleaner is mounted on the support unit 13 and the main part 19 is moved up and down the connecting pipe 35 to remove the dust is attached to the pipe 48 for dust suction, and the inlet connecting pipe 36 is connected to the discharge pipe 49.

EFFECT: invention relates to electric vacuum cleaner which has excellent manageability of the vacuum cleaner housing, enables to provide a reliable connection of the unit for storage to the vacuum cleaner housing and disconnecting from it, and enables to support for a long period of time the collection of dust in the vacuum cleaner housing.
