FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: telescopic suction pipe of vacuum cleaner 10 has outer pipe 11 and inner pipe 12, which is axially biased towards outer pipe 11 and equipped with retaining slots 13 distributed over cylinder generatrix. Outer pipe 11 is surrounded with guiding bushing 15 fixed thereon. Guiding bushing 15 has slot 18 for receiving catching member 23 engageable with retaining slots 13. Through slot 18 formed in wall of guiding bushing 15 for receiving catching member 23 is adapted for insertion of projection 19, whose innermost end 21 is retained at end of slot 18. Free end 20 of projection forms catching member 23 at its side facing inner pipe 12. Catching zone 32 and bias zone 31 of actuating member 28 may be axially aligned in alternation at side of free end 20 of projection facing away from inner pipe 12. Guiding bushing 15 is enclosed inside cavity 16 of outer pipe 11 provided with through slot 17 extending in axially aligned relation to slot 18 for receiving catching member of guiding bushing 15 at one side and with catching zone 32 and biasing zone 31 of actuating member 28 at other side.
