FIELD: medicine, therapy.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating cardio-vascular and inflammatory VCAM-1-mediated (by the factor of vascular cellular adhesion 1) diseases or due to expression of redox-sensitive gene. For this purpose, one should introduce a substance to either prevent or minimize oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acid. Also, this innovation deals with testing the compound for its ability to treat VCAM-1-mediated disease and evaluate sensitization of vascular endothelial cells to polyunsaturated fatty acids or their oxidized derivatives. The innovation provides identification of selective methods of therapy in case of above-mentioned diseases and adequate matching for necessary therapeutic means.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
