KNIFE FOR ROTOR-TYPE GRINDER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for grinding of polymer waste material.

SUBSTANCE: knife for rotor-type grinder has base and replaceable cutting point manufactured from wear-resistant material and bolted connection. Cutting point is composed of replaceable members forming cutting edge. Replaceable members are made in the form of prisms, whose side ribs are smaller than ribs arranged in the vicinity of prism base. Each replaceable member is equipped with through opening for fixing thereof on knife base by means of pins. Knife has detachable retaining member equipped with surfaces extending in two mutually perpendicular planes, first of said surfaces being directly joined to side faces of replaceable members opposite to cutting edge of cutting point, and second of said surfaces being directly or through layer joined to bases of replaceable members. Replaceable member of cutting point may be made in the form of straight prism with rectangular, square or triangular bases, as well as bases in the form of regular pentagons or regular hexagons. Wedge may be placed between detachable retaining member and knife base.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and prolonged service life of knife.
